Breast Cancer Courses
The Bulgarian Breast Cancer Association is organizing yearly courses for medical specialists for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Breast Cancer Course 2026
The 6th edition of the Breast Cancer Course is expecting you on 18 of October in Sofia. Meet our special guests - Dr. Birgit Amort and Dr. Silke Haushammer from the Medical University of Innsbruk. Take part in the discussions, biopsy workshops and get certificate from the Bulgarian Medical Association.
Breast Cancer Course 2025
For the fifth consecutive year, the Bulgarian Breast Cancer Association (BBCA) is organizing a “The Breast Cancer Course" aimed at increasing medical professionals’ knowledge of breast cancer in Bulgaria. The course features both Bulgarian and international speakers. Our special guests are Dr. Birgit Amort, Dr. Silke Haushammer, and Dr. Daniela Poposka. Our specialized workshop on ultrasound-guided breast lesion biopsies was conducted using phantoms manufactured by Matrichem.
Breast Cancer Course 2024
The aim of the course is to familiarize residents and young doctors with the path of breast cancer patients in Bulgaria; to provide specialized training in performing core needle biopsy of breast lesions under ultrasound control and basic recommendations in HPV vaccination.
Breast Cancer Course 2023
The course includes a practical workshop on breast lesion biopsy, a practical workshop on interpreting Pap smear results and HPV test. What is new in our program are the multidisciplinary discussions, in which all participants are involved, discussing a clinical case – just as it would happen in an oncology committee!
Breast Cancer Course 2022
The program includes four scientific sessions - Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis; Building a Therapeutic Plan for Patients with Breast Cancer; Career Development Opportunities in Oncology; Beyond the Breast Cancer Diagnosis.
